I have a husband, ten year old son with muscular dystrophy that requires me to travel a lot, puppy, and a kitty, but I also have a medical condition that I am currently trying to sort out; so my attention is a little scattered at the moment. I cannot promise that I will be able to auto-respond or even respond to a thread within a week, but I can promise that the wait will be no longer than two weeks unless it is a group thread. If there is more than two characters in a thread, that counts as a group thread, and I will reply to those much faster as they take priority. I am online most of the time (6:00am-3:00pm CST) unless I have something planned that requires me to be away that day and I am pretty good about letting people know with updated LOAs. However, keep in mind that I can often go AFK throughout the day to take care of any number of household chores as I do like to keep a level of cleanliness.
Also, c-box is not the best way to get in touch with me because I can easily be distracted with other activities, but here are some alternatives: Skype @ sacrament_in_blood or a PM to my OOC account - those are the only two sure ways to get an immediate response.
I am addicted to plots. I like creating them and I like watching them play out. My specialities are plots that have hundreds of working parts, involves several characters and leads to an outcome that (surprise, surprise) lead to other plots, like a domino effect. Other plots that I am interested in are ones that help to shape my characters and promote their growth, but I also like to help other writers obtain the same for their own creations. I tend to lose interest in threads with no purpose. Yes, single-thread plots and inter-personal plots are great, but I tend to become bored and will ask to have such threads archived when I feel that there is just going to be page after page of senseless babble.
Here are some ideas on how to keep a thread interesting : The establishment that our characters are in is being attacked by any number of sources like a group of lycanthrope rogues, robbers, or even Humans First if it is owned by some sort of supernatural being, one of our characters winds up becoming drugged by that crazy Triazepan drug and starts to lose their minds, or our characters wind up in a curious situation that has clues laying all about that they have to work together to figure out - do not, for the sake of all that is sacred, bore me with endless babble. I don't like it. Oh, I should probably point out that I do not like to be the only one doing all the brain work. I like to write with writers who are involved.
Sure. Feel free to tag me in a thread. But please be sure to send me a link to the thread on skype or via a PM to my OOC account that I have provided above. Also keep in mind the setting as it pertains to whichever character of mine you choose because not every character is going to be found nosing about the entire city. I will, however, be constructing a custom list to assist with thread placement for each one of my characters. For now, here is a good source to use when determining whether or not a certain location would be a place where one of my darlings would venture: [ Silver's Miracle Machine ]
I do love me some smut. If not, why would I read the books that I do? But I don't want a thread that is one big sexual act from start to finish unless the characters involved already have an extensive history that has been talked out. Fantasies about my characters coming in and doing naughty things to you character while they sleep? Sure. As long as I am told and able to take part in it. For me, however, I also like to have a little more substance in the life of my characters other than the old bump and grind. I would like to also point out that if I notice someone is more worried about smut threads and less worried about plot, I will cease writing with such a writer.
What kind of world would this be without violence? A fantasy. Yes. This is a fantasy world, but this a fantasy world with some scary monsters that can do some serious damage; not every thread is going to be rainbows and unicorns. I do not mind my characters being in a fight or a victim of a crime. I enjoy it, actually. But, like everything else, I like to take part in things that have an actual story-line to build off of. Also, I would like to remind fellow writers that if I am open with damage done to my characters, I expect the same in return. My characters can and will defend themselves when necessary. Please, be realistic.
There are a few limits to the damage that can be done to my characters, but all damage must be discussed before it can take place. I will not accept dismemberment, debilitating mental damage/scarring that requires extensive hospitalization, being horribly disfigured, rape, or death. Everything else is fine as long as it is discussed.
Most of my characters are introduced to the site with relationships already in place because, like the hopeless romantic that I am, I am a big fan of cheesy romance. But this does mean that their relationships have to be perfect. I don't care who you are or where you are from, there is no such thing as a perfect relationship. So if you have a relationship with one of my characters and are expecting a smooth ride, back out of it. I like a healthy mix of serenity and chaos. And who doesn't, right? My opinion? Complication is the spice of life.
Crushes that are kept secret and never flourish, ex-lovers coming back into the picture to stir up some trouble, one-night stands that turn into friends with benefits or awkward scenarios, open relationships with more than a handful of characters involved, and even love at first sight - these are all possibilities. But do not expect it to be set in stone. Just as relationships can begin, they can end as well.

My want-ads/adoptables can be, well, scary. Though be assured that I am very open and am more than willing to work something out with you if you have any ideas that might help with the concept. I love it when someone comes to me and want to toss some ideas around. That is one of my passions. Ask any number of the people here on BL that has known me as a friend for a couple years and they will tell you that I am good at bouncing ideas around. I love ideas. Love, love, love ideas.
On the other hand, I actively seek out wanted-ads and adoptables because I love being an involved member of the site as well as interacting with other people of the page. But I like to take on adoptables where I have a little freedom to make them my own. Please, do not, for any reason, allow me to adopt a character that you still want to control, because I will drop that character as soon as I realize it. My characters are my own, and that includes characters that I have adopted. I am going to leave this here: [ It's Okay to Not Like Things ]
No rape. No. Do not even ask it. I have friends on here and I respect them far too much to subject them to even a hint sexual violence, or will I stand for it being used in a joking manner. Rape is not a joking matter. It's real and it really happens. I also will not associate my characters with any character that focusses on their own experience with it because, to me, that is disturbing. It has no place here. None. Leave it out, please, and have some decency to fade to black.
I am a mother, alright? And I am a mother who loves her son very, very, very much. I will not and cannot be involved with any violence where a child is harmed in any way, shape, or form. Sexual acts with minors, for example, is a big no-no. I don't like hearing about it and I don't like reading about it. Yes. I understand that it is a sad reality in our world. But, out of respect for me, leave me out of it. Thanks.
